About Me

Headshot of Andie Ho: Middle-aged Chinese-American woman with long black hair, smile, pearl earrings, and red and white patterned top.

Pleased to Meet You!

I grew up in a multicultural setting (Chinese-American in the rural Midwest). Throughout my life, I lived in and traveled to countries all over the world. This experience taught me that no matter where we live, who we are, what we do, or what language we speak, we all want the same basic things. Most humans just try to get through the day, put food on the table, and care for their loved ones. People are just people—that’s my motto!

Language and understanding are the heart and soul of our lives, but language barriers can be limiting. They often prevent people from accessing services, education, and opportunities they are perfectly qualified for—and that’s where I can help.

As a translator, I have the privilege of helping people embrace the philosophy I live by, to turn something they don’t understand into something extraordinary, to help them communicate and be understood by others, fostering connections and greater understanding by all.

I genuinely believe that if we can better understand each other, it may bring us one tiny step closer to world peace.

When you work with me, you’ll know exactly who is doing your translation. This differentiates me from large corporate translation agencies because you are guaranteed one point of contact and someone who knows your account history. It also allows me to adapt services as needed to each project, which plays into why I do what I do. I love nothing more than being able to reach deep into the project to understand what the human in front of me really needs.

I look forward to working with you!
